Description
I understand that it is possible to get gtid_slave_pos from the variables, however it would be more convenient to have them all in one place. SHOW SLAVE STATUS displays GTID_IO_POS already, and GTID_Slave_Pos is in SHOW ALL SLAVES STATUS. Why it isn't in the regular SHOW SLAVE STATUS display is out of my knowledge...
Thanks

I think it's because GTID_Slave_pos is an essentially overall characteristic, it shows the composite position for all domains. If you put it in a single slave status, it might contain information that has nothing to do with this particular master connection.
Of course, it also means that for non-multisource setups, which are probably the vast majority, SHOW SLAVE STATUS also won't show the value, even though it would be perfectly suitable there.
I'll leave it to Kristian Nielsen to decide what to do with this request.
