TokuDB missing in generic Linux 10.0.15 install

    Details

    • Type: Bug
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Major
    • Resolution: Duplicate
    • Affects Version/s: 10.0.15
    • Fix Version/s: N/A
    • Labels:
      None
    • Environment:
      Linux

      Description

There are 2 tar.gz downloads for 10.0.15 for Linux:
      1. mariadb-10.0.15-linux-glibc_214-x86_64.tar.gz (requires GLIBC_2.14+)
      md5sum: af25648b17af9b7b03b54f2ae177a953

      2. mariadb-10.0.15-linux-x86_64.tar.gz
      md5sum: 36d4fed2a4d0c27e3d95efc64d20aecf

However, the latter one is missing the TokuDB engine:
mariadb-10.0.15-linux-x86_64/lib/plugin/ha_tokudb.so and also the mariadb-10.0.15-linux-x86_64/mysql-test/plugin/tokudb/ subdir.

It should be in, or am I overlooking something ? The release notes (https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/development/release-notes/mariadb-10015-release-notes/) doesn't mention any dependency like e.g. TokuDB is supported only in the glibc 2.14 build, on the contrary, it lists that "TokuDB upgraded to 7.5.3 ".

              It's documented here: https://mariadb.com/kb/en/mariadb/documentation/storage-engines/tokudb/

In the MariaDB binary tarballs, only the ones labeled "glibc_214" have TokuDB.

It's a duplicate of MDEV-5731 which, in turn, was closed as 'Won't fix'
