CentOS 7 repositories contains MariaDB 5.5.37. but newer packages are not available.
In addition 5.5.37 packages from CentOS7 repos do not contain libmysqld.a and it is not possible to build MaxScale with static linking against embedded library.

This may be just an artifact of mirror updates, but currently the repository configuration tools provides a yum repo config for CentOS 7 with MariaDB 10.0, but the URL provided is not available: http://yum.mariadb.org/10.0/centos7-amd64

Is this a documentation error, or are there really packages available somewhere?

In the meantime, as usual, the Fedora 19 packages on mariadb.org (at least for 10.0.x) work fine on CentOS 7.

            Some problems:
            1. F19 is expected to be EOL in February, 2015, and MariaDB is policy is to drop soon (6 months IIRC) after that.
            2. The F19 packages use SysV init scripts, native systemd support would be nice.

The repo configurator was updated a little bit too soon. RHEL 7 and CentOS 7 packages will be available in the MariaDB 10.0.14 release. I've fixed it so the configurator now reports only the packages actually available.

We now have MariaDB and MariaDB-Galera (5.5 & 10.0) packages for CentOS 7, so closing.
