Environment:Ubuntu 12.04.3 Server LTS - 64bit
Description
On a fresh install of ubuntu server 12.04.3, using the official repositories for MariaDB 5.5 the installation of "mariadb-galera-server" fails due to unresolved dependencies.
This issue is new and wasn't there two weeks ago when I did the last cluster installation.
-> Maybe due to a "bugfix" from Ubuntu's side?
It is not the same as issue MDEV-5066.
Output received from installation command:
root@db01a:~# aptitude install mariadb-galera-server galera
The following NEW packages will be installed:
galera libaio1{a} libdbd-mysql-perl{a} libdbi-perl{a} libhtml-template-perl{a} libmariadbclient18{ab} libmysqlclient18{a} libnet-daemon-perl{a} libplrpc-perl{a} mariadb-client-5.5{a}
mariadb-client-core-5.5{a} mariadb-common{a} mariadb-galera-server mariadb-galera-server-5.5{a} mysql-common{ab}
0 packages upgraded, 15 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 35.2 MB of archives. After unpacking 117 MB will be used.
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libmariadbclient18 : Depends: libmysqlclient18 (= 5.5.33a+maria-1~precise) but 5.5.34-0ubuntu0.12.04.1 is to be installed.
mysql-common : Breaks: mysql-client-5.1 which is a virtual package.
Breaks: mysql-client-core-5.1 which is a virtual package.
Breaks: mysql-server-core-5.1 which is a virtual package.
The following actions will resolve these dependencies:
Keep the following packages at their current version:
1) libmariadbclient18 [Not Installed]
2) mariadb-client-5.5 [Not Installed]
3) mariadb-client-core-5.5 [Not Installed]
4) mariadb-galera-server [Not Installed]
5) mariadb-galera-server-5.5 [Not Installed]
Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]
Is there already a workaround to that?
Regards,
Andreas
