Description
I've re-compiled RPM package for 5.5.32 and new file was generated:
Installed (but unpackaged) file(s) found: /usr/share/mysql/solaris/postinstall-solaris
This file should not be here and/or this should be documented in changelog, which says nothing about it

In a sense, it is in the changelog. The changelog is here:
https://kb.askmonty.org/en/mariadb-5532-changelog/
and the file was added in this revision:
Revision #3077.187.64 Wed 2013-04-03 18:09:37 +0200
Bug 16534721 - mysql_install_db runs again during upgrade even data directory exists
(later it was few times deleted and added again under a new name, so it's a bit tricky to track it down — apparently not all Oracle developers know how to rename files properly)
But you're right, I don't see why this should be installed on Linux
