      Description

      see: http://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/

even though we only build for centos 5 & 6, and rhel 5 (where we don't build for rhel 6), the packages for centos 6 are essentially the same. the repository tool currently shows that we can only use mariadb 5.5 with rhel 5.

i suggest fixing it so rhel 6 appears as well. it wil ljust provide the centos 6 binaries for this purpose.

why is this important? well, because rhel 6 is popular and in use today

did we sort out the licensing to get rhel6 now too?

The tool now has that, it provides repository links for RHEL6 which contain CentOS 6 packages:

            https://downloads.mariadb.org/mariadb/repositories/
            http://yum.mariadb.org/5.5/rhel6-x86/rpms/
            http://yum.mariadb.org/5.5/rhel6-amd64/rpms/

            So I assume it's fixed.
