          Description

          ST_AREA returns NULL when passed a GEOMETRYCOLLECTION .

          select ST_AREA(ST_GEOMCOLLFROMTEXT(' POLYGON((0 0,4 7,1 1,0 0))'));
          returns 1.5

          select ST_AREA(ST_GEOMCOLLFROMTEXT(' GEOMETRYCOLLECTION(POLYGON((0 0,4 7,1 1,0 0)))'));
          returns NULL

          postgis returns 1.5 in both cases.
