Description
All release tar and rpm/deb package files should be called mariadb-, not mysql-. (files inside the package may/will be called mysql* for backward compatibility.)
Currently for .debs the libmysqlclient15off package, that provides an old libmysqlclient .so library, depends on "mysql-common-" which is why that package has not yet been renamed.
Since the above is just an exception and all other packages are properly named, this issue is not blocking for MariaDB 5.1 release.

Re: MariaDB deb/rpm/tar binaries should be called mariadb-, not mysql-
Package names like mysql-common in Debian/Ubuntu are controlled by the distros, not by us.
